Thanks Maddox. Glad to know I haven't missed out on a triple. A vintage tourer with a triple continues to elude me.
The specs on that 79 sure do look close. The saddle, rims, stem, tubing, hubs and seat post all line up with the specs. I also assume then that these are Bocama lugs.
It seems I need catalogues from 1980 and 1981 to see when the Simplex deraillerus were substituted for the Cyclone, unless someone knows for sure. There is also the chance that if the Mafac Competitions were an upgrade that the derraileurs could have been too. I'm interested to find out whether these are the Simplex Super LJ that Grand Bois mentions.
