Yeah this is common with Treks. My OCLV 5200 has some paint cracks. Since it isn't structural it is no concern to them, just an eyesore to us owners. It's because of how the Treks are made with a lug/tube design. The paint cracks where the tubes are glued to the lugs. It happens with some other manufactures that use this manufacturing method as well.
