Do you have any idea how many times I've heard these inane lectures from cops on that ride? Cripes, I've lost count.
The other morning I was making my way back from the state line on 9W and in Cliffside Park a cop starts yelling at me because I was riding just a bit to the right of the middle line on Palisades Ave. I explain to him that I do that because when I stick to the right cars looking to turn right at the fork in the road often do so at high speed, and given that I've almost been cut off and potentially killed following the rules, I just as soon make my own safety the key issue here. Of course he didn't care and kept telling me to ride on the right.
