Oh, by the way, yesterday, I rode from Chester to Hudson Terrace (Fort Lee, it was 58 miles one way on the back roads, it's shorter on the highway) where my wife met me for our trip into Manhattan to tour NYU. So I'm riding down 9W on a Saturday morning, which I never do, and I really was taken with what a Bike Weenie Expressway it has become. Even though I was heading south against the flow, there were still plenty of Freds to chase down and pass, one after another, like some bizarro form of FredPac-Man . Finally, I got one Fred pissed off, and he stormed past me on his Cervelo TT bike, which was perfect, because I was running late, and I sucked his Fast Fred wheel 5 miles all the way to Tenafly (I pulled up to him and asked him if he minded, he said no problem).

It was Big Fun.

I lived in that area for many years (Hillsdale, NJ) and trained up there regularly from 1990-1997. The increase in Bike Weenie traffic up there is exponential. Very cool.
