It wasn't the middle of the peleton, it's just that people went into the oncoming traffic lane so they could sprint for 30th place or whatever. I got essentially pushed into the other lane when the guy in green cut his way in. He had to have seen the rider ahead, and then he abruptly cut around. It probably would have been better if the leadout guy had gone down the right side, but I don't think he did anything wrong. People back where I was should not be sprinting.
