Do you really need to be able to remove them quickly, or are you just concerned about the ability to mount full fenders on a road bike?

I've got full fenders on a Specialized road bike with short reach brakes that don't accomidate. I used some bar aluminum from the home depot to fasion some reacharound brackets for the install. Kind of like these: http://rivercitybicycles.com/product...ackets-737.htm
