I've been very happy with my new Specialized layer. The one I was wearing today was ok but I really like another one that I got, but I don't remember what they called it. When I wash my clothes, it's dry when when pull it from the washing machine.

My ankle is shredded and I have a tiny scrape on each elbow, but other than that, the only real abrasion is on my hip, right where the base layer ended. Yes, some kind base layer there would have been nice... maybe they just need to make double-layer shorts. It's not thickness that matters, but just having two layers to slide against each other instead of your skin.

It's been my experience that my arms rarely get much or any abrasions, which is why the "why don't you shave your arms too" people are so stupid whenever shaving comes up.
