No, but the heat and humidity absolutely zaps your energy. I grew up in MS and now live in Southern Indiana - it is a world of difference. Think about your fall rides compared to your summer afternoon rides; worlds apart.

Besides, a century is a century. If someone doesn't like it, don't do it.
