Not sure, but he also told me that this is a selling point to for the other 2 higher end wagon's in Kona's line up... which ironically share almost identical frames & geo but different components... the most expensive of which comes to the price of a decent mid range name brand roadie complete with mavic ellipse wheelset. And that when he was building them out of box, the frames nearly weighed the same.
