Any reccomendations for figuring out a max heart rate so I can get a good idea of my zones?
Don't worry about your max HR, do an LTHR test, calculate your zones off that, and enter them in manually.

Some people just have a higher HR. I wouldn't worry about it. Wear the strap around for a day and get an idea of what your HR is at rest, and at various effort levels.
