I don't have a Brooks (just some mid-range Italian racing thing), but...
Back when I had my saddle to high, I thought that I should tilt it down in the front to take pressure off the groin. Wrong move! Not only did it increase the pressure on my hands, but it also increased my numbness problem.
So I tried tilting it slightly up in the front (5 degrees at the very most). Miracles of miracles, it dramatically helped, actually reducing the pressure on the groin and encouraging me to ride further back on the saddle. Once I finally figured out that I should lower the saddle out of the stratosphere I have been sitting pretty.
Cheers,
Jamie
