so after having a gary fisher stolen from me a couple months ago, i was looking for a mountain bike to replace it. i had considered buying a brand new fisher, just because i've never had a new bike, not even when i was a kid (i was riding my older brother's '70's huffy). but i decided to go with a 90's tassajara that was old enough looking that nobody wanted to steal it anyway.

so, a friend of mine who i've recently got into cycling got a 2010 fisher. for the first little bit i was drooling over it, but then the chain came off when he tried to jump on a curb. i called him today for a bike ride but he said that the back wheel came off too doing the same thing. he may be new to cycling, but i've had three fishers now and never ran into this problem. i know that they are owned by trek or something now, i hope this didn't effect the quality. anyone else having problems like this?
