After every such incident, I compose a letter to the editor ofthe local paper describing the incident and quoting the relevant state and local statutes on the matter. (The laws of all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico all say that bicycles belong on the road.)

I also note the licence number of the jerks and pass them on to a buddy on the police force.
