I own this bike! Was curious to see what's on the internet about it and found your post. Bought it brand new from Jubilee Cycles in Vancouver as a teenager. It was a very expensive bike back then and considered to be one of the better touring bikes at the time. I'll do a closer comparison when I have time, but from what I can tell in your pictures, only the front rings and handle bar tape is not original. I'm planning to clean off the dust and ride it again after many years being stored in the garage. You're right, it's a really sweet ride - very comfortable and smooth.
