I had a motorist overtake me on the right, in a lane that had become a right-turn-only lane, to yell at me, just before he swerved in front of me to avoid the opposite street corner in front of him and continue straight.
These actions are generally more dangerous for other road users than for us directly, because people who obsess about a cyclist on the road generally do a good job of avoiding an actual collision with him or her, but end up being inattentive to other hazards.
Sounds like he just viewed the cyclist as some obstruction to get around... not a peer on the road.
