I've met Carter (once) and Reagan (twice).

Carter was just getting it out of the way, and you knew it. His eyes said it all.
You both knew he was busy, so it was understood to get it over with, no offense intended.

Reagan 1 acted like he'd be glad to stick around if he had the time.
Reagan 2 had the time and used it to connect on a personal level.
You never forget that.

I always wanted to meet Elvis and just shoot the breeze about barbecue or something.
