Okay, I'm getting the idea that the DL-1 (and the later Tourist) were commonly available in a 24-inch frame. As I said, I ordinarily ride a 25, on bikes with 27 or 700c wheels. But given that the radius of a 28-inch wheel is a half-inch larger than standard road wheels, that would make the standover of a 24-inch DL-1 equivalent to a 24 1/2-inch frame with conventional road wheels. Right? That's good from the standpoint of requiring less stem and seatpost height, but I assume that the top tube is maybe a little short. The bottom line: will a 24-inch DL-1 fit a guy who is, like me, 6-4 or so? Anyone that height riding one?
Did all D-L1s have rod brakes? I'm a little skeptical of them here in the big hills where I live.
