Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!

Why not? A Veloce 10-speed cassette is $80 at Licktons and a Shiftmate is $40 and a one-time purchase. Shimano cassettes are in that price range or higher.
