I guess I look at things differently, but have you considered anything else about your wheels but the color?
For instance, what if the only rims you can find in the color you want are Velocity Deep V's? Do you want Deep V's? Would you get them over any other rims just because they come in white and other rims don't? (I know there are probably other rims available in white - I am just trying to make a point about putting the cart before the horse.)
Also, I have a hard enough time finding good name brand (sapim/wheelsmith/dt) double-butted spokes in natural and black. Who makes spokes in all sorts of colors? Are they double-butted? Are you willing to go with no-name straight guage spokes just to get them in red?
And we haven't even started talking hubs - you can't just put regular silver/black hubs on a pimp wheel like this.
But basically what I would say is that you should decide what sort of wheels you want: rims, spokes and hubs. Then if you can get the good stuff in whatever crazy color scheme you want, go for it. But don't put together any old stuff just to get color coordinated wheels.
