So I woke up at 8am this morning like usual. I check the races that are on today while drinking my morning coffee (which, BTW, is as balck as Satan's stool sample) and two of my canadian roommates and I choose a nice UCI 1.13 race (U23-only) that's only 10km away.

What makes this different? Instead of the usual race start time of 3pm, it's at 6:15pm. It also happens to be only 70km, 22 laps of 3.1km. God help us.

Waiting until 4:45 is the hardest part of this. We've already ridden our hour of warmup, we've already tuned our bikes, we've already packed our backpacks.... WHEN WILL 4:45 COME AROUND!!!???
