I would say it is more important to know your cadence when you are starting. I always felt my cadence was higher than it really was until i recently got a computer with cadence. Now that I have seen where the right cadence feels like i probably dont need it.
Ah, I see. Thanks for the help, coasting. I think I will pick up a bike computer that measures cadence, then, as my old cheap computer from Wal-Mart is starting to malfunction. When I pedal, my speed starts to drop on the computer, and when I stop, the speed raises up right away. If I'm going 40km/h+, down a hill, and I start to pedal, the speed immediately drops to about 20km/h, which affects my avg speed, etc.
Do you recommend the Cateye Strada Cadence, and the Cateye brand in general? My budget is about $60 (I know, not much).
