Can somebody school me on Aerobic Decoupling? I understand what it is and the implications it has on your fitness. But when is it applicable to look at the aerobic decoupling from a ride. I was under the impression that it was only really applicable for steady rides where a constant power or constant hr is maintained (or at least tried to be maintained). But a teammate tonight disagreed saying that it is applicable depending on how you rode.
For example, on tonight's team ride, which was filled with attacks, surges and a cool down + warm up, my aerobic decoupling was 17.20%. I know that this is very high. But is the number artificially inflated because of all the surges?
