Bikes: Cervelo RS, Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Pro, Schwinn Typhoon, Nashbar touring, custom steel MTB

My road bike (17lb Cervelo RS) is probably only 1-2mph faster, on average, than my touring bike (23lb Nashbar double-butted aluminum touring frame). Of course, average speed doesn't tell the whole story: I haven't put the PowerTap wheel on the touring bike recently, but it wouldn't surprise me to learn that maintaining speed on the touring bike requires more power...
