It depends on what kind of 'touring' bike you're thinking of. Is it a steel framed 'expedition' bike loaded with full camping gear or a more lightweight touring bike equiped for credit card touring?

If it's the former you probably can turn your mph into kph but if it's the later you could even use your road bike and suffer only a marginal decrease in speed.
