I just bought 3 new SRAM powerlink chains, and I intend to change the chain at least every two weeks, while the spares get cleaned and lubed.. Before I found Bike(nut)forums I never considered cleaning chains on any of my bikes - for up to 10 years on one daily-used bike.

By the way, my tool gripe is the Performance/Spin Doctor chaintool, which is made of a soft cast metal which broke on the first use and bent the link. Doh! Need to get a steel Park chaintool, I guess.
