if your road bike has drop's why would you want flat bars for your touring bike just curious.
depending on weather conditions as in Wind you will loose big time on the tourer fact, but the smile on your face will be much bigger knowing that in one of your loaded panniers is the means of making a lovely cup of coffee at the end of a hard day in the saddle.......
