You my friend have just earned bonus points!!!! I hate that as well and it drives me bonkers sometimes. It is like "look at me I just changed lanes" or the one or two blink as they reach the other lane. That and the ones that do not use it for a turn as you wait at a intersection to see if they are going straight or turn.
Sorry I know this is getting off "bike" topic......rant over...for now anyway.
