What a great thread. I've been lurking over in the fixed gear forum for awhile, and just stumbled across this. Been commuting for about a year, ~3 days a week, except for winter when I couldn't get myself motivated.
This morning was a little chilly, but nothing a few layers didn't fix. Otherwise, sunny and no troublesome winds. The highlight was riding 12 miles, through 27 stoplights, and my feet never touched the pavement. I got lucky with green lights, but I've also been working on trackstands, and managed to pull them off when I needed to. They weren't pretty, but they were functional, so I'm happy.

I can't wait for ride home.
