you're completely right, i get same thing on my commuter because i made my own panniers, this one older guy i meet on my rides in the morning was giving me crap about my home made laptop rack bag, i guess he was upset that i spent 8 dollars on something he spent 100 on his loss. I do wish i would have spent more and got a new set of forks those old TTs are getting tired and no replacement bushings are avail.
