Has Maryland gone metric? ;-)

The biggest change I am noticing lately is the shorter days. The weather gal this morning said we have lost an hour of daylight since June 21. Temperatures are still as hot as ever in NC -- highs in mid-90s or hotter nearly every day and lows in the mid to upper 70s. I am used to the heat but still don't like it, and can't wait for cooler temperatures to arrive. My morning commute today was actually very nice as the humidity didn't seem as high as lately, and I wasn't totally soaked in sweat for a change when I got to work.
