Got a front derailleur this weekend- an old 35mm deore xt low mount bottom swing that fit perfectly. Ran it over a 53/39 crank, and it bottomed out in the 3 smallest gears. Ran it over a 53/42 crank, no problems. So now all I need to find is a 42 tooth campy chainring. And a set of wheels.
So the tube has a 35 mm diameter?

What do you mean by "bottomed out" in this context?
