I have a Rascal that fits this picture pretty well with the exception of the fender eyelets on the back dropouts - this would appear to make the bike a Mountain Klein from the late '80's that's been well worked over. The serial number is probably on the bottom of the left rear dropout...if it is a low number, then the bike is almost surely a Mountain Klein. I haven't ever been able to find any references on Klein serial numbers, though, and Klein doesn't seem interested in their ancient history (since, I suppose, Trek sees no point in it). Bulgier's site has some Klein catalogs, btw. But, they appear to be suffering from some physical disorder for the moment.
