I have 105 components except for a Bontrager crank and SRAM cassette. Everything is 9 speed. This is what I think I need to do:

1) Set left shifter from triple to double (not sure how exactly)

2) Remove 42 and 30 chainring and install 39 chainring.

3) Replace cassette.

4) Adjust derailures.

Would the chain length need to be adjusted? Am I missing anything else?
Chain will need to be longer.Your RD may not shift the 32 and the jumps between cogs will suck. Use the granny and middle ring positions in the shifter when using it with a double. If you don't change the BB out for a shorter one(109.5) the chaiinline willl suck badly.
