At UCONN, when VCRs were getting less expensive, they had a bunch of desks in the Student Union where you could go and watch videos of classes and such. You could also watch some movies. They also had two TV screens in the main lobby area, usually playing movies. We'd go there after buying food, sit, eat, hang out. One day they had the Fast Times movie playing on the main screens. Got to that part of the movie. Everyone started speculating if UCONN would have some kind of censored version of the movie (like public TV would). The clip started looping back, showing her dropping her top over and over, then going to slow mo. Everyone started grinning at first, then laughing. We had no idea what was going on.

Well, ends up that some of the desks can be used by someone making a presentation in the Student Union "lobby"/hang-out area - you hit some button and the feed goes to the lobby TVs. So someone (I'm assuming a guy) happened to be watching Fast Times on one of those particular VCRs.

btw the song in that scene is classic. I know it's a classic because they played it on the "classic alternative" station.
