Now I want to get back on an aluminum bike. I'm watching this thread very closely. The Caad9/10 is tempting, just because I started racing on a Caad.
If spending the coin on an AL frame isn't that big of a deal because it IS going to be cheaper than your SL2. Here are the good options in no particular order...
1) Ridley's AL Version of the Noah.
2) Cervelo Soloist
3) CAAD8/9/10
4) Spooky!!!
5) Custom Frame through Tsunami.
Edit: I'd probably prioritize the spooky because mickey's a great guy (I bought him lunch!) and he's doing a lot of good for grassroots racing in both the MTB, Road, and Cross scene's. It's really impressive and his bikes ride really freaking well.
