The nice things about the boom in fixies:

1. A lot more parts and options. Sure its not as cool as finding that rare part in a used bin, but when I want a cog or chain its nice to go to my LBS and pick up EAI cogs and Izumi chains. Props to thems.

2. Theres a lot more 2nd hand stuff, makes life much cheaper.

3. More peeps on bikes is always a good thing, although drunk out of control brakeless riders make me nervous. And I still don't quite know why you can take the nicest of folks, stick 'em on a track bike and they turn into MadMax, roadwarrior. Its weird.

4. More people wanting to race on the track. More demand = more money = more tracks being built and refurbished. Can't complain about that at all.
