Then take it to a shop and have them look at it. They'll know what normal looks like. But the main thing is to be able to adjust it yourself, because you will surely need to. Cables stretch (or housings bed in), things get banged, etc. Everyone once in a while, I have to take mine back to start and do it all over again, just following the steps. You don't want to have to mess with a shop to get that done before a ride.
