that's the point. others pay less because cycling increases a life span and makes things better (and cheaper) for not only the cyclist, but others as well

but there have been excellent studies that have shown what has happened when people wear helmets. you need to read them and understand what has happened.
But of course, you don't have to. You can continue to be ignorant. There's no law against that.
