is the study that proves this? It might be true for some people in some places but, unless a lot of people do a lot of cycling, cycling probably has no measure able effect on the lifespan of all cyclists as a group.
People would get more exercise
walking instead of cycling.

Yes, very
active cyclists likely get a significant health benefit. Most cyclists (in the US and CA) don't cycle enough (whether or not they wear helmets).
The problem is that cycling is too efficient to be an efficient form of exercise.
