Why NOS? They don't wear or even scratch in a normal 30 or 40 years of use. Except for the little rubber feet but they would be old and brittle even on NOS.
If I had a choice, I'd prefer NOS rather than somebody beating the hell out of it. I don't really care about the rubber feet, as I can figure out a replacement for that. But as I said above, I've been looking for new or near new.
