Bikes: giant ATX 760, Falcon Road Bike (ss) custom marinoni tourismo (full dresser) ,

GOOD MORNING.

Ive been trying to solve the problem of converting my road frame over for commute/light tour duty.

well its just not going to work as there are too many little things not quite right so a new frame it is .

Ill re use most of the parts off my road bike.

As for frames I know the Surly cross check is the popular choice at the moment and it will do the job,

but the Soma double cross looks to be a bit more polished as far as a nicer colors/paint job...

Im sure duribility is 6 in one half dozen other kind of thing.

I dont know how much diff Somas reynolds 631 frame makes compared to surlys 4130 chromoly (similar steels) but the soma does have A nicer finish.

the surly will take 45c with fenders the soma max with fenders is 38c, im running 35 right now ( extra room can be a good thing)

any thoughts will be welcome.
