I was in the Nikon realm and loved the SB-80DX... I have a few Elinchrom 600RX units now and a battery pack... it's like 10x as powerful and way more versatile... The difference you can get between background and subject is just stupid cool.

maybe it's the Newcastle talking but I really want to go shoot some cycling... anyone in SoCal down for a shoot one weekend?
