Not familiar with the brand Selection either, but if there is information out there stating the company closed in the 60's there is a possibility that someone just put a Selection decal set on a repainted later made French bike as there were lots of decals available back then from many bike shops. The frame shown certainly have brazed-on details not present on mass production bikes in the 60's
I remember the bike shop in my neighborhood selling real nice looking decals in the early 80's of what they said were fictitious bike companies. My brother turned his Motobecane into a "Mont Blanc" overnight using these decals.
The bike still looks to be French bike because of the components but you can look into it further to make sure. Are there marking on the rear dropouts? A good shot of the BB and the the chainstay bridge nest to it could give hints too on what the bike is all about.
