Clear-coat steel handle-bars, stems, cranks, etc?
This might be a silly question, but are bare-looking steel handle-bars, stems, cranks, etc. really bare metal, or do they typically have a clear coating? If clear, what is a decent rattle-can clear-coat to use after de-rusting older steel components? If bare, can I just wash and wax once in a while? We have very high humidity down here in Florida.
Any information is appreciated!
