My first solo ride - other than training weekend rides - was 10 days and I felt fine. I'm a loaner kind of person, so solo touring is perfect for me. I like to do everything according to my own pace. I wasn't bored even for a minute. When it rained badly I literally slept for most of the day. I would often just lie down on the grass and listen to the sounds of the forest and nap under trees, no need for books or music. Although, I understand that someone used to more social living might find solo touring boring.
