Hi folks,

I'm a newbie here ... came across this thread while researching this bike and its SunTour GPX group with an eye towards some repairs and updates.

I'm the original owner of this bike, purchased it in Colorado in the summer of 1989, or maybe it was 1988? It's served me very well indeed over all those years. These days its been relegated to the trainer with another modern day steel frame taking its place.

Serial Number: N9A5748.

It's mostly still original except for BB, some reworking of the cogset, pedals, stem, and a rear rim. I've been toying with upgrades for a bit now, but I can't decide if I should keep it as vintage as possible, or convert it into a rainy day bike with more modern components. Most of the components are in decent enough shape, as is the paint. The seat has to go though!
