If you liked it before you may just need to stick it out and in a week or two of regular riding you'll be back in condition with the muscles that you were using while riding before. In the meantime really try to concentrate on using your core muscles to hold up your upper mass instead of relying on your hands. If you're still uncomfortable after a few hundred miles of accumulated riding you may want to look into a refitting with the goal being a more "touring" style fit.
