I have the 2008 CAAD9 and it has the Control Tech Compact bar as per below link:

I was looking at maybe something with a bit less drop, but have no idea what is the actual drop of this bar. Any idea how to find out, or exactly how its measured?

My wife's bike has the FSA Omega Compact, and their website says its 125mm drop and 80mm reach. Looks very comfortable, and was tempted to try something similar to make the drops more comfortable.

When I measured from the top of the tops to the top of the drops [or center to center], I get 145mm on my bar, and 125mm on wifes bar. Do you think it might be worth a try?
