Thanks for all the input.

After reviewing the link provided by Bluetrane (Thanks Bud!) and looking at the bike again, by "Components" alone, I surmize it's about a 1993 model. Geez, it was $330 back then! What's that make it nowadays, a thousand dollar bike?

I'm fairly mechanically inclined and not afraid of elbow grease. I've rebuilt a couple of my own engines and back in my teens replaced a lot of parts (cables-axles) on a Schewin (sp?) 10-speed I had. My Sis kept wrecking it!

THink I'll try refurbishing it myself.

Generally speaking, I prefer to hang on to quality verses adapting to the diposable age we live in.
