Sounds like a stupid road-rager.

I saw a car pile right into a traffic control box once, BLAMMO she really took it out! Turns out, when the light turned red, she went to stop and... no brakes! It was plow right into 3 lanes of high speed traffic (they don't fool around on that intersection of roads) or stop, somehow. So she used the traffic control box for stoppage. Lady deserved a medal, her quick thinking saved her, her son who was with her, and probaby a few other lives.

This was in Honolulu, Kapahulu actually, fair amount of gonzo traffic there!
